Roof Restoration Checklist
Is it time to restore your roof?

So, you think it might be time to restore your roof but you don’t know where to start?

That’s why the experts at JMZ Roof Restorations have put together this roof restoration checklist to take out the guess work and make the whole process easy for you.

Roof Restoration Process

Step 1: Do a Quick Assessment of Your Roof

We recommend assessing the condition of your roof before giving our team a call.

IMPORTANT NOTE: We don’t encourage you to climb onto your roof, so please just take note of what you can observe from the ground.

Take note of the following if you have a tiled roof:

  • Do you have any cracked tiles?
  • Are there any major or minor cracks in your ridge capping?
  • Are there any weep holes which could lead to water leaks?
  • Have the tiles been secured properly?

If you have a metal roof:

  • Is there any visible damage or holes in the roof?
  • Can you see any streams of light in your roof cavity? (Please only check if it is safe to do so.)
  • Is there any water damage on the ceiling? (This can be checked from inside your home)

Step 2: Request A Quote

Now you’ve had a quick look at your roof’s condition, you can make an enquiry with our trusted roof restoration team.

We recommend calling us on 1300 760 076 or you can request an obligation free quote online here.

JMZ’s Customer Service Team will arrange for the Business Owner or Manager to come to your house to discuss the condition of your roof and any issues it may have.

This is a prearranged appointment and you need to be at home for the meeting, so you can answer any questions.

Step 3: Choose Your Roof Coating and Colours

Once you’ve agreed to the quote provided, you can pick your preferred roof coating. We use and recommend Globalcote products.

Australian made and designed to withstand our harsh climate, you can even opt for a heat reflective coating.

We have an extensive range of colours you can choose from. View our colour chart online here.

Step 4: Book in a Day and Time for Your Restoration

The last thing you have to worry about is locking in a day and time for your restoration to be carried out. Once your appointment has been confirmed we’ll take care of the rest!

Choosing a roof colour isn’t just about what looks good. In Ipswich, it can also impact how hot your home gets, how long the coating lasts, and how well your roof handles storm season. So how do you pick the right colour — one that’s both beautiful and practical? Understanding Ipswich’s Climate and Its Impact on Colour Ipswich homes face a mix of harsh elements: Intense sunlight and UV radiation High summer heat - Seasonal storms and heavy rain Airborne dust and debris Dark roofs tend to absorb more heat, which can raise internal temperatures. They also fade faster under UV exposure. Lighter roofs reflect more sunlight, keeping your home cooler and helping the coating last longer. Popular Roof Colours in Ipswich Globalcote colour options for Ipswich homeowners: Surfmist: Bright, clean, and one of the highest for heat reflection Shale Grey: Modern and versatile with good solar performance Evening Haze: Soft and neutral with broad street appeal Dune: An earthy tone that blends well with older and newer homes Windspray: Subtle and stylish, suitable for various house styles All these colours are available in Globalcote’s Infracote (heat reflective) and Elastacote (flexible membrane) roof coating systems. Quick Answer: What Roof Colours Work Best in Ipswich? Lighter, UV-stable colours like Surfmist, Shale Grey, and Dune work best in Ipswich. They reflect more heat and resist fading, making them ideal for Queensland homes. Roof Painting That Lasts Roof painting in Ipswich isn’t just cosmetic.
