Commercial Roof Restoration Brisbane

The process for commercial roof restoration differs depending on the type of roof you’ve got.

If your business has a metal roof, this is what you can expect:

  • Site preparation to comply with local government regulations.
  • High pressure cleaning process to remove contaminants including dirt, grime and moss.
  • If needed, we’ll carry out minor metal roof repairs such as replacing nails or repairing holes.
  • We apply rust/etch primer to treat screws and any spots impacted by rust.
  • We then apply 1 x coat of Globalcote’s Primecote to prime the roof.
  • We apply 2 x coats of a coloured roof membrane from Globalcote. You can choose from standard or a heat reflective coating.

If your business has a tile or terracotta roof, you can expect the following:

  • Site preparation.
  • Replacing broken roof tiles.
  • Removing contaminants from surface with a high-pressure clean.
  • If needed, ridge capping will be re-bedded.
  • All ridge caps are repointed.
  • We then apply Globalcote’s Prepcote sterilising solution.
  • For tile roofs, the next step is to apply Globalcote’s Primecote to seal the roof and ensure maximum adhesion, and then apply 2 x coats of a Globalcote roof membrane product.
  • For terracotta tile roofs we either apply 3 x coats of clear glaze, or 1 x coat of sealer and 2 x coats of a Globalcote roof membrane.

Choosing a roof colour isn’t just about what looks good. In Ipswich, it can also impact how hot your home gets, how long the coating lasts, and how well your roof handles storm season. So how do you pick the right colour — one that’s both beautiful and practical? Understanding Ipswich’s Climate and Its Impact on Colour Ipswich homes face a mix of harsh elements: Intense sunlight and UV radiation High summer heat - Seasonal storms and heavy rain Airborne dust and debris Dark roofs tend to absorb more heat, which can raise internal temperatures. They also fade faster under UV exposure. Lighter roofs reflect more sunlight, keeping your home cooler and helping the coating last longer. Popular Roof Colours in Ipswich Globalcote colour options for Ipswich homeowners: Surfmist: Bright, clean, and one of the highest for heat reflection Shale Grey: Modern and versatile with good solar performance Evening Haze: Soft and neutral with broad street appeal Dune: An earthy tone that blends well with older and newer homes Windspray: Subtle and stylish, suitable for various house styles All these colours are available in Globalcote’s Infracote (heat reflective) and Elastacote (flexible membrane) roof coating systems.
